Sign post in middle of pavement
Reported via desktop in the Obstruction on road or pavement category anonymously at 20:31, Monday 2 March 2026
Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 9032892.
Multiple news signs have been placed in the middle of the pavements around the area of newbridge primary school, meaning that buggys have to go into the road to get around them. Multiple sign posts around this new scheme need their locations reviewing and moving to the edge of the pavements not the middle to allow buggys to pass, especially as this is around a school.

Agree with reporter. I doubt the positioning of these signs aligns with various policies/guidance on making footways accessible to all. Here is one from Local Gov Association… but there are many others https://www.local.gov.uk/ publications/ path-inclusive-footways
