Why is this lane not a resident's parking zone?
Reported in the Car parking category anonymously at 13:10, Mon 31 October 2016
Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council 5 minutes later. Council ref: 920309.
Despite the considerable expansion of parking provision at the RUH staff and patients alike continue to park on this section of Weston Lane which links two residents-only parking zones on Combe Park and Gainsborough Gardens. I live in Montrose Cottages alongside 6 other families and we are constantly unable to park on the small (5-6 vehicle) stretch here where the small, private, shared driveway is full. Meanwhile Gainsborough Gardens, homes on which has ample private, individual driveways enjoys a weekday parking restriction. All I am asking is that this small stretch, which links two areas within the parking restriction, is included also.

The council have been in touch and told me to approach my councillor as they are unable to 'simply' extend the resident parking zone between two parts of the zone that are impossible to bridge without traversing this section of road. Amazing.

I am going to make enquiries via an FOI request concerning the rationale not to include this section within the existing restricted zone. w
