Speeding along Sion Hill Place

Reported via mobile in the Dangerous road surface (including ice, mud, spillage or debris) category anonymously at 16:27, Tuesday 7 April 2026

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 9253006.

As winifred lane is closed could we have speed bumps along Sion hill Place as we have small children playing on the lawn and cars-especially taxis go along our road at speed to save meeting someone on the bend on Sion road . I have written to our MP you advised getting in touch with highways .

  • You may get lucky living in a wealthier part of Bath! Lansdown Road is now a race track with no sign of any intervention, bar a few tiny “20 mph” roundels hidden away, a stream of speeding ParknRide buses, coaches and commuters There is no point asking for speed humps as BNES reach for a completely misread piece of research regarding the potential damage they could contribute towards vaults etc. Best hope you have a councillor as a neighbour (although unlikely as most councillors seem to live on private , no through roads) Good luck
