Very uneven pavement
Reported via mobile in the Pavement damage category by Cllr. Ruth Malloy at 19:57, Wednesday 8 April 2026
Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 9260570.
Many pavements in Purlewent Drive, including outside no 45 (illustrated), are very rough and uneven, and therefore unsafe, in particular for mobility-scooter users, who often have to resort to going onto the road. Please can these be improved ... as soon as resources allow. Thank you.

Dear Ruth. Thank you for reporting this issue. I reported the issue of the pavements around Purlewent Drive a number of months ago, attaching many photos, and explaining that it was a larger issue than a single pothole, with the pavement is having essentially deteriorated to a point beyond return. Unfortunately, that report seems to have disappeared from fix my street without action , at least as far as I can see. Also unfortunate is that the highway inspector came today but only looked at a single pothole in the strip you photographed, without inspecting any other element of Purlewent Drive. I fear therefore that we will see a small circle of time on that section and nothing else. I would be grateful if you could keep pushing this issue, as the pavements really have got to appoint where they just are not suitable for buggies or wheelchairs.
