A37 Hedge on Main Road between Paulmont bus stop running north to opposite The Mount

Reported via desktop in the Trees and woodland category anonymously at 08:21, Wednesday 3 June 2026

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council 1 week, 1 day, 3 hours, 3 minutes later. Council ref: 9551864.

The entire length of hedge is overgrown from before the bus stop right through to the end of the beech hedge, opposite The Mount. It hasn’t had a hard cutback for years and is dangerous in some areas for pedestrians trying to walk down the pavement alongside busy, heavy traffic with HGV’s thundering down the road. I know there was a report a while ago for some of the hedge but nothing has been done & a resident recently cut some of the dangerous overgrowing branches off simply to enable pedestrians to navigate the path without having to step into the road. This needs a tractor cut down the entire length to ensure the hedges are kept in check for at least a few years and not a trim back, where they will be just as bad the following year. Thank you
