Dying tree in public space near children's play area and residential parking area

Reported via mobile in the Trees and woodland category anonymously at 20:12, Wednesday 10 June 2026

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 9598509.

The tree has overhanging branches which impede vehicles and people entering and exiting their vehicle when parking underneath in an allocated space. When the tree started to leaf in the Spring there was a large amount of fine brown seed / blossom debris. Now it is shedding its leaves as if it was Autumn, which appears to indicate it is dying. It is a large tree so could be unstable thereby causing damage to nearby properties, vehicles and children who frequently play under the tree. The location is the Trajectus Way end of the playing area on the left as you approach The Pavilion
