Rotting tree and overgrown thorns on public footpath

Reported via mobile in the Public Rights of Way category by Joel Akroyd at 19:27, Wednesday 5 August 2026

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council 13 hours, 55 minutes later. Council ref: 9904459.

Between Meadway and Brandown (Temple Cloud) there is a COUNCIL OWNED tree which has been assessed by a tree surgeon who’s confirmed it is tree rot and is a danger to the public. It was requested by them that we report this as a matter of urgency. The tree is also hanging over a private property. Also worth noting that the same lane is overgrown with thorns - making it almost un-useable.
